Northern parts of Eysturoy

Visit the lovely village of Gjógv and enjoy breathtaking views on the way.

You will meet your local guide in Tórshavn and from there you will drive north towards the village of Gjógv.

Along the way you will stop at scenic viewpoints offering views of Fossá waterfall and the Giant and the Witch sea arches. You will also pass Slættaratindur Mountain, which is the tallest mountain in the Faroe Islands

Once you arrive in Gjógv, you will enjoy a guided village walk, explore the famous gorge and walk along the cliffs for beautiful coastal views. This is followed by coffee/tea & homemade cake in Gjógv.

Afterwards you will drive to Tórshavn through Funningsfjørður, enjoying scenic views. Before reaching Tórshavn you will also drive through the Eysturoyartunnilin subsea tunnel known for its roundabout with art installations.
